I am trying to share the screen of a system A to another system B. The normal screen sharing is good. But when i run a 3-D program in System A and try to view it from System B, i see the screen frame by frame. The response time is too slow. My Req. is to show the 3-D program to another person. What I read about VirtualGL tells me is that it is meant to do exactly what you are seeing -- it's using the OpelGL hardware on your myth box to run an OpenGL application from your laptop on the screen of your laptop. It's an OpenGL server.
Generally though TurboVNC+VirtualGL is used in TONS of demanding installations world wide - for CAD and super computing etc. So VirtualGL itself is well tested and quite smooth in that combo. Of course TurboVNC is damn fast (through its libjpeg-turbo usage and "smart" encoder), probably has an advantage over RemoteFX even.

If I start the X server on the host and link the unix socket for display :0 I can run the same command without errors. I can also start a 3D game with and without vglrun and verify the difference.
